In 2008 MLX8 hosted the Australian Hellzapoppin' Prize - the no-rules, no-runners-up, badass lindy hop competition. MLX7: the Kick Ass Exchange The seventh annual Melbourne Lindy Exchange Thursday 22nd November - Sunday 25th November 2007 www.mlx-7.com The MLX7 program showcased the very best of Australian bands and DJs in a program of eight main events reaching from Thursday 22nd November until very late on the night of Sunday 25th November 2007. The main events featured the following bands: Carol Ralph with Bob Sedergreen and friends The JW Swing Orchestra Michael McQuaid's Red Hot Rhythmakers Julie O'Hara and her Blues Band Swing It And these DJs: Sarah Farrelly Andy Fodor Trevor Hutchison Vas Pelecanos Meaghan Simms Russell Turner Anthony Wheaton Mark Bretherton Bec Scouller MLX6: the Fat Lotta Good Exchange The sixth annual Melbourne Lindy Exchange Thursday 23rd November-Sunday 26th November 2006 www.mlx6.com Once again the program showcased local live band gigs and local and interstate DJs. This year the program was extended to feature longer and more elaborate late night parties in two parallel rooms. MLX6 was also home to Fats Cafe - a late night cafe/bar.
